The Borgia Chandeliers by Carla Baz.
o’de rose will be celebrating peace that has unfortunately become a scarcity these days. We have commissioned several regional artists to design installations of candle holders. All candles will be lit daily from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm from March 13 to March 18.
The definition of peace in the dictionary: Peace noun \ˈpēs\ Simple Definition of PEACE : a state in which there is no war or fighting : an agreement to end a war; a period of time when there is no war or fighting
However, this theme can be explored further, we can also explore peace of mind, being at peace, peace and love, etc… Consequently, we decided to call our installations "Art Peace".
Carla Baz founder/designer
Carla Baz pieces are rooted in that elaborate relationship where innovative ideas meet noble materials that are worked by hand. Within that journey to their process, distinctive and unique pieces are born that hold their place in our landscape.
Carla is a French-Lebanese designer with an aspiration for creativity and a surge to explore new techniques and challenges. After studying interior architecture at ESAG Penninghen in Paris, she pursued a Masters in product design for the luxury industry at the University of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL) where she had the opportunity to work on several projects under the supervision of international designers such as Ronan Bouroullec, BarberOsgerby, Marti Guixé, Pierre Charpin and Umberto and Fernando Campana. She then engaged in diverse professional experiences, working in London for Burberry, Vivienne Westwood and Zaha Hadid until she felt it was time to explore her own lines. Inspired by the exceptional heritage of Lebanese craftsmanship, and dedicated to foster synergies between her innovative approach to furniture/lighting and the very accomplished skills of Lebanese artisans, she began an inspiring sequence of experiments which resulted in small editions of her sculptural yet functional furniture.

Pascale Sabri – Orfelia Studio
Founder and Head of Design of the Orfelia Studio since 2013, Pascale Khoury Sabri is a firm believer in the nobility and intrinsic poetry of raw material, which she uses profusely in her designs. A self-made artisan, Pascale learnt the love of wood, brass, concrete, clay and electricity from spending countless hours in the workshop of her mining engineer grand-father in the North of France since her earliest years. After a 16 year-old carrier, she left the worlds of Communications and the Media to start designing and making objects for the home that made her dream. Pascale believes handcrafted quality pieces should be accessible to anyone sensitive to their beauty and hopes to be making pieces that will stand the test of time.
